"Three Kings Celebration" (the traditional Latin American Christmas)
The United Puerto Rican Association of Hawaii Inc., will hold its 32nd annual
"Three Kings Celebration" (the traditional Latin American Christmas) on Sunday,
January 8, 2006.
In many Spanish-speaking areas "El Dia de Los Tres Reyes" (Three Kings Day) is a
major event. In Puerto Rico children wake up to find their shoes stuffed with and
surrounded by presents. The tradition is inherited from the gifts brought to the Baby
Jesus by the wise men.
WHEN: Sunday, January 8, 2006
WHERE: 12:00noon-Spanish Catholic Mass at St.John's the Baptist
Church, 2324 Omilo Lane.
1:30pm-6:00pm-The "Fiesta" continues at the United Puerto
Rican Association of Hawaii - Social Hall, 1249 North School
Street. (to include-Spanish Choral Group, Nativity skit by our
children, gifts for the children given by the Three Kings and a
Puerto Rican Luncheon.
Latin Entertainment for your Dancing pleasure by;
"El Conjunto Tropical", "El Mariachi Loco", "Son Caribe Salsa
Band" Wally Rita (fromKauai) and Friends and more!
DONATION: $5 per person (pay at the door-event UPRAH)
